Actually a workaround… Asus P5LD2 fan speed control using ‘fancontrol’ not workinng since pwmconfig says “There are no pwm-capable sensor modules installed” Kernel 2.6.38-8-generic (actually 2.6.31 and up) Workaround: Edit boot/grub/grub.cfg Find first ‘menuentry’ line and add “acpi_enforce_resources=lax” option right after “splash quiet etc”. Reboot, and pwmconfig will detect everything correctly.
